Primary 3 are always actively learning through all the hands on activities. This week we were taste testing some different breads, discovering smells, touches and flavours we experienced when tasting our very well known Potato Bread. Then investigating through puppets, building our vocabulary with sound stones and creating our own songs with some musical instruments to link to a favourite nursery rhyme.

P3WA have been learning about compass points in numeracy. We used IZAK9 to locate numbers based on our compass directions!
We also used iPad apps to be creative with our bird patterns and designs to link to the term topic of BIRDS.
Our P5 teacher Mr Poots is a HUGE BIRD fan and talked to both P3 classes about the birds in his garden and other animal friends he has seen when our with the camera......
P3WA had a super fun time dancing to Jack Hartman Easter Chicka Boom song.......

After Easter, Drama club will continue as normal; however, only pupils who have attended Drama Club up until now can attend as parts have been given for performances.
This week P3WA enjoyed an amazing logical thinking and very practical experience with David from Sentinus. We loved the thinking around Numbers, shapes and problem solving. Take a look at our fun photos.
The arrangements relate to dressing up and also a whole-school competition (including Nursery).

Wow what a week!
This week we watched BBC teach lesson about helping our minds to have a growth mindset. We learned about using our hand to help us breathe to calm our mind. We learned about using music to keep our mind balanced. A healthy mind can keep us kind to everyone including ourselves!
Presentation Primary School came to visit, we made some art and learnt a little more about each other. We had such a fantastic time!
Also this week we were investigating items that would float and sink in our topic of Pirates! And to finish off our fun topic we danced and used some drama to act out the pirate songs. We also did some pirate Numeracy where a cube was worth 10 and a coin was worth 2, which was very tricky!

P3WA thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a worship to create mini wind turbines.
They were learning about turbines, shafts, washers and using these pieces of equipment to make the best movements into the wind. Everyone was very excited to discover how their wind turbine moved!
We have also been learning lots about pirates, we even created our own fictional pirates and made ‘wanted’ posters to describe their appearance and crimes! Watch out!
