Booking for clubs will open next week.
Over the year, we will be introducing a range of new clubs - do encourage your children to take part in these.
After half term, we will offer some clubs to our Primary 1 pupils.
It is hard to believe that the new academic year is just around the corner! I hope that everyone has had a super, restful break, and is ready to begin a new school year.
In preparation for coming back, please be reminded of some arrangements for the new school year.
Back to School
Pupils from P2-7 return to school on Wednesday 28th August; they will finish on this day at 12noon. This will be the case for Thursday 29th August and Friday 30th August. Pupils should have a healthy snack with them on these days. There will be no school dinners on these days.
Full school days, with school dinners, will begin on Monday 2nd September. Arrangements for Nursery and Primary 1 children are different and have been shared separately – please contact the class teacher if you are unsure of anything.
Meet the Teacher
This year, we are changing the format of our ‘meet the teacher event.’ On Thursday 29th August, parents are invited into school from 12:30pm to 2:30pm to go and meet their child/ren’s new teacher. Teachers will be in their rooms, with a handout regarding key information about their class, and parents are welcome to visit and collect this/meet with the teacher. This will be an informal, drop-in event and parents are welcome to arrive at any time.
Uniform
Please ensure that your child is in the correct school uniform for their first day.
Our school uniform can be purchased from local suppliers including, C&G Embroidery, Jameson’s and Davidson’s. Please ensure that all items of clothing have the pupil’s name.
The uniform is the same for both boys and girls:
Round-neck/V-neck school jumper with the logo
Black tracksuit bottoms (sweatshirt material with cuffed legs)
Please note, bottoms must be plain black and should not have any branding or lines, except the school logo, if desired.
Bottoms with the school logo can be purchased from C&G Embroidery.
Yellow polo t-shirt with logo
Plain Black trainers

Dear Hart Memorial Primary School,
We appreciate your support
Thank you so much for your very kind donation of £812.40 to Macmillan Cancer Support from your incredible fundraising throughout the year. We're so grateful for your efforts in hosting a school disco, Non-uniform day and Tea/Coffee at your sports day! Your generosity and support will allow us to help people with cancer receive essential physical, financial, and emotional support. At Macmillan, we won’t rest, and we won’t settle for anything other than the best possible support for people living with cancer. We do whatever it takes. Please find attached a certificate to show our appreciation of your kind support.
To help put this into perspective, every £810.00 we receive could help run a small Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advice service for a week, providing people living with cancer with easy-to-understand, impartial advice on claiming the financial support they’re entitled to.
Whatever it takes
At Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are our worries. We will move mountains to help you live life as fully as you can. And we don’t stop there. We’re going all out to find ever better ways to help people with cancer, helping to bring forward the day when everyone gets life-transforming support from day one.
Thank you again for helping those people living with cancer.
With best wishes,
Erin Mullins
