We had a visit this morning from Michelle who came from Portadown town library.
Michelle told the children all about the library facilities. She emphasised that there is a lot more going on in the library apart from borrowing books.
Michelle shared a book with the children and encouraged them to visit the library & to join for free to make full use of the activities on offer. e.g. Lego & craft club
We have enjoyed collecting autumn leaves this week. We used a magnifying glass to study the leaves and then completed an observational drawing.
Our P1 boys and girls are settling in well and are enjoying the variety of indoor and outdoor play activities on offer.
We have enjoyed making clay rainbow fish. We moulded our clay into a rainbow fish shape before smoothing out and adding sparkly sequin scales. We also used clay tools to add stripes to the fins and tail before adding an eye and mouth. Finally, we painted our rainbow fish.
During our World Around Us lesson today in P1 we were testing our boats in the water tray to see if they would float or sink. Thankfully ALL of our boats stayed afloat! 😀
Today we enjoyed participating in lots of fun activities with our P1 friends from Presentation Primary School. We got tattoos and face paints, took part in a Zumba session and Healthy Kidz exercise session. Then we played on the bouncy castles before cooling down with an ice lolly. A fantastic way to end our Shared Education lessons for this year!
