Today we enjoyed lots of Christmas activities including singing songs, playing party games such as ‘Pin the nose on Rudolph’, musical statues and pass the parcel, Christmas colouring and having a yummy party snack. A wonderful end to Term 1!
Today we enjoyed learning new circus skills of plate spinning and juggling. We also had lots of fun learning how to use a diablo and dancing sticks.
During Anti-Bullying week we have been focusing on a theme of “All about kindness”. Today we made a helping hands wreath and each child thought of a way that they could show kindness to others by being helpful and having kind hands. Some wonderful acts of kindness shared!
Here is a selection of some of the art activities we have enjoyed so far in Primary 1. These include observational painting of apples, fork painting of brown bear from our story book “Brown bear, brown bear what do you see?” and owl art, based on the story “Owl Babies”, using a mixture of painting, collage and chalk pastels.
During Road Safety week we have been learning about how to cross the road safely. We have enjoyed learning Super Cat’s rap which teaches us to “Stop, look, listen and think” before crossing the road.
