We enjoyed planting our sunflowers today. We then wrote the instructions, remembering and sequencing what we did.
We took part in some fun activities as part of British Science Week, 2025.
We took a walk outside in the lovely sunshine to look at weeds, particularly dandelions. We learned about their importance as a food source for insects.🍃
We delved into the world of apple varieties. We used fantastic adjectives to describe their different appearances, textures and taste. We looked at the number of seeds inside in each variety and we have left the cores to the side for a few days to see what happens! Some have predicted they will go really brown!🍎🍏
We also had a really close look at Mrs Heare’s carrots! We explored how carrots grow, which parts we eat and how we cook them. We then did some super observational drawings🥕
We loved having Morgan, Bert and Ted to visit today!
They gave us the opportunity for lots of discussion.
We compared them and decided if they were old or new and why. We looked at their shapes and sizes and how they were made. We then wrote about them.
We got a chance to have a feel and a cuddle!
