P7MM dressed up for Number Day to raise money for the NSPCC. They took part in fun activities using numbers associated with the Titanic. A super had by all😊
P7MM’s WAU topic for Term 3 is The Titanic. In Art, we explored the work and life of a local artist, Adrian Margey from Kilrea who has a studio in Portrush.
His paintings are contemporary and traditional depictions of Ireland’s landscapes, iconic landmarks and musical traditions. One of his paintings is entitled ‘Reflecting H&W’ and includes the famous Samson and Goliath cranes.
We painted our interpretations of this painting and the results were amazing!
P7MM practised the 24 Game in anticipation of the challenge with Miss Shipley😊.
The aim is to be the quickest to make the number 24 by adding,subtracting, dividing or multiplying using all 4 numbers on the card.

P7MM completed literacy activities during the week linked to World Book Day. They did lots of reading and created a comic strip from a story familiar to them with super results.
They were asked to submit a photo of themselves reading in an unusual place or in an unusual position! (nothing dangerous of course!). Some excellent photos were sent in! Well done P7MM for joining in the fun😊
P7MM took part in Safer Internet Day activities during home-learning in February where the theme was ‘An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the Online World’
Pupils took part in a Key Stage 2 competition to showcase this theme in different forms. We received some super entries and some of the posters can be see below!
