Please find some dates for term 3 to help you plan ahead.  Sports days are obviously weather depending.

During ABL (Activity Based Learning), the children planted their own sunflower seeds, made a paper and card bird using a muffin case as the base, and dressed up as ‘twitchers’ - people who are very keen bird watchers. The sunflower seeds in their pots have been taken home and should be kept moist.  They can be planted out when the seedlings are strong.  These are the dwarf variety so won’t grow too tall.

We lost an hour this weekend and some of the children were tired so we did some gentle hand massage and gentle fanning as our nurture activities. As always, the children were asked if they gave permission for their partner to touch their hands and extra sensitive moisturising cream was used.

Back in December, we surveyed our parents and guardians on all things 'Hart!'  We asked parents questions regarding their child; their experiences when visiting our school; and what they see the main strengths and areas for development to be in our school.
This data was analysed in January and February and we are now pleased to provide you with the results.  Alongside the results, we have also included comments to answer any queries etc which were raised.  Please read and consider these carefully.
As a school, we were absolutely delighted with the results of the survey and the high regard which you have for our school.
Moving forward, we will be using this data, and many other data sources, to help steer our school for the next 3 years.
May I, on behalf of the whole school community, thank you for your contribution.

Working on our theme of ‘birds’, the children made spruce cone bird feeders with a selection of seeds in suet.  They used feathers in nurture activities and engaged in various other things related to birds.

We had great fun exploring the remarkable adaptations that allow animals to thrive in different habitats around the world.

We discovered hummingbirds have specific shaped beaks to fit inside specific flowers in order to get nectar. Some are long and thin, others are short and curved.
Some birds that live on or near the water need to try to keep their feathers dry in order to fly. That is why they have very long legs! Other birds that need to swim underwater for food have waterproof feathers!

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day 2025! 📚🌍

The children looked amazing in their costumes and got creative with their brilliant Book in a Box projects.
We were also treated to a special visit from a librarian, who read us a fun story by Julia Donaldson. Everyone joined in, made predictions and had a great time exploring the magic of books!

We had an exciting day, dressing up as pirates and teaming up with P3WA for iZak9 challenges, PE with Captain Steve and a treasure hunt outside. We boarded each others classrooms to show off our costumes and practise our best pirate talk. It was a day full of fun and adventure!
