Olympic Athlete, David Thompson, visited our school today. The children really enjoyed completing a High Intensity Training session with David first thing this morning to waken them up!! We then had an inspiring assembly were David told us about the hard work he had to put in and the challenges he overcame to qualify for the Olympic Games. He told the children that to be successful in anything in life, you must work hard and stick at it!

We had a fantastic day visiting the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh as part of our topic of the Famine. It brought history to life!

We were able to see what life was like in famine times and heard the story of emigration to America in the 19th century on the ‘coffin ships’. It was amazing to go around the different buildings and see how they were in those times. The weather was kind to us too😊
