We have spent lots of time this term developing our understanding of positional language, using words like in front, behind, on top, under, beside. The children are working well together sharing ideas and learning from each other. There has been a lot of chat and excitement about Christmas time. The children have enjoyed using musical instruments this terms and learning their Christmas Nativity songs. They sang beautifully and we are so proud of them!
We have grown in our confidence and independance both inside and outside. We are also doing a great job of independantly accessing resources and putting them away when we are finished.
October; A lovely month exploring all things Autumn!We have been on lots of Autumn walks; collected, raked and sorted the leaves. We have been using conkers/ acorns and pine cones in our play and even talking about nocturnal animals. We have been exploring the different colours associated with Autumn and enjoyed lots of art activites. We are now staying for dinner and are trying hard to use cutlery. We are working together at tidy up time to ensure everything is put back in the right place.
Another busy month in Nursery. We have spent a lot of time outdoors in the sunshine this month, developing our communication skills, role play and even our pre writing skills. We also had a lovely morning at Tannaghmore Gardens, playing in the park and looking at all the different animals.
We have been developing our fine motor skills, learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and enjoyed learning all about minibeasts!
This month in Nursery, we went to visit St Francis’ Nursing home. What a lovely morning we had, singing songs with the residents and joining in with some art activities. They even gave us a lovely snack afterwards.
