We have spent lots of time this term developing our understanding of positional language, using words like in front, behind, on top, under, beside. The children are working well together sharing ideas and learning from each other. There has been a lot of chat and excitement about Christmas time. The children have enjoyed using musical instruments this terms and learning their Christmas Nativity songs. They sang beautifully and we are so proud of them!

We have been developing our gross motor skills of climbing, balancing and swinging with Coach Steve during our Healthy Kids sessions; lots of gymnastics fun in the hall!
We have grown in our confidence and independance both inside and outside. We are also doing a great job of independantly accessing resources and putting them away when we are finished.

October; A lovely month exploring all things Autumn! We have been on lots of Autumn walks; collected, raked and sorted the leaves. We have been using conkers/ acorns and pine cones in our play and even talking about nocturnal animals. We have been exploring the different colours associated with Autumn and enjoyed lots of art activites. We are now staying for dinner and are trying hard to use cutlery. We are working together at tidy up time to ensure everything is put back in the right place.

Thank you so much for all your support for our sponsored welly boot walk. The rain didn’t put us off; the children put their waterproofs on and had a brilliant time. They splashed and jumped in the puddles, talked about signs of Autumn as we walked, explored the forest at the back of the school and loved climbing up the hill and sliding down. When we returned to Nursery, we had lots of lovely treats.
