The pupils of P7L took part in the 'Building a bridge to France' project from W5. We spent several weeks learning a little bit of French and how to build a bridge throughout multiple workshops.
On the 8th of March it was finally time to go and show off our skills in W5. Very proudly and carefully, we loaded our class-made bridge onto the bus and away we went to Belfast. Unfortunately, we didn't win but I am convinced we had the coolest and sturdiest bridge.
Well done to my P7L for all their efforts and enthusiasm.

A team from the school took part in the Credit Union Quiz on Friday night, which is for Primary 7 pupils from primary schools in the Portadown area. There were some tricky questions included over the 10 rounds with the scores remaining very close throughout, but we are delighted to announce we came joint 2nd place! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
A fantastic achievement and very proud parents and teachers cheered loudly when they collected their prizes!
Well done to Zac, Elissa-Rose, Amelia and Marcel. 👏👏👏
We dressed up as characters from a Christmas film or wore our most festive jumper. Mrs Stockdale chose a winner from each class. It was so difficult for her! Congratulations to everyone!
Today, P7L welcomed Presentation Primary School with open arms. First we all got to know eachother by playing a (very funny) Bingo game. After that, we got to work on learning about 'algorithms' and 'programs'.
After some well deserved lunch, we followed our own step-by-step guide on how to fold a paper aeroplane. We obviously had to put these paper machines to the test in the hall, seeing which one would float the furthest.
A very succesful and fun, first day. See you again next Wednesday.
P7L got to revise and practice their 3D shapes on Thursday morning.
They did this using a fun and educational app (website) called ‘Polypad’.
