Reims Training Solutions gave P5P a very informative talk and Workshop on Internet Safety. Thanks to Eimeaar and Michelle for giving up their time and providing so much important online information.
P5P took part in a number of lessons to coincide with Road Safety Week. With darkness falling earlier each evening, the boys and girls realised the importance of always taking their time to safely cross roads.
Julie from the Dog’s Trust paid a visit to P5P to stress the importance of caring properly for your dog. The children learned lots of new information and techniques to keep a dog happy.
Today, P5P were treated to a “ How to create a PowerPoint” tutorial by Mrs Kinghan from the ICT Team. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed this and have already made a start on their first slides. Thanks so much, Mrs Kinghan!
Sam from the IFA has started a programme of Physical Literacy with P5P. The children are enjoying their weekly sessions first thing on Friday mornings.
Two Community Policemen gave the children a Safety talk on a number of very important subjects. These included Stranger Danger and using Fireworks safely. The children listened intently and asked lots of questions.
Scratch is an ideal tool for encouraging basic Computer Programming. It’s also a lot of fun!
Healthy Kidz sessions with Coach Steve are always a highlight for the boys and girls in P5P!
P5P have been trialling Minecraft Education in Class. Minecraft helps the boys and girls with planning ahead, problem solving, sharing and working together. It can also help with reading, writing and many History topics.
