Louise from Young Enterprise gave a lovely Workshop on Our City to P5P. The Workshop was divided into three sessions: Building a City, Money Choices and It’s Time for Business. All of the boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed the activities and learned so much. Thanks, Louise for visiting us today!
Our Class Assembly was on the topic of Electricity. Thanks to all of the family members who attended. We hoped that you had as much fun as we had doing the performance!
David and Noel from Portadown Fire Service spoke to both P5 Classes about Fire Safety, especially in the home. We are all grateful for them giving up their time to visit and speak to us.
This morning, Commonwealth Swimmer, David Thompson, completed a fitness workout with all children. This was completed with a view to raising money to purchase new Sports equipment for the School.
P5P were treated to a W5 Workshop today, hosted by Matt and Ben. The children were shown how to make a Wind Turbine, which they then managed to do in small groups. Electricity Circuits were also completed in this fun, hands on Workshop. Everyone learned a lot and had fun doing so!
P5P have been looking at ways to stay safe when using the Internet - a very important topic. We luckily had the services of three Digital Leaders from P6C, who delivered an excellent PowerPoint to the whole Class. Thank you!
P5P have started Swimming lessons at The Lakes. It’s early days, but everyone has enjoyed going to the pool on Thursday afternoons.
