P7T have been learning about the Human this term and put this knowledge to Art form by creating different bodies in motion. They used different circles to create their body structures and then used this to create different movements. With painted backgrounds, pupils created their masterpieces. Great job, P7.
P7 Teggarty travelled to Armagh on Thursday 9th December to avail of an opportunity to work with local artist, Orlaith Cullinane. Pupils had the chance to look around the local Museum exhibition - all about the creation of Northern Ireland. They were fascinated about the history of the creation of the state, particularly the different symbols and traditions mentioned. The Art workshop's focus was on the coinage used at the time - it took its inspiration from local farm animals. Pupils were tasked to make their own and created some unique specimens. It's safe to say that pupils enjoyed themselves. Have a look at their wonderful creations!
P7T’s Science experiment for this term was to check their rate of pulse before and after five different exercises. Pupils have been learning about the Human Body and the importance of exercise - and how our bodies use oxygen. They had a lot of fun checking their pulse rates and were amazed to see just how much their heart beats when they work their bodies. Amazing job, P7
P7T’s WAU topic has been The Human Body. We have been learning about the many different functions of amazing bodies including the importance of the heart, lungs and muscles. In our Art project, we have been showing these functions in action by drawing different people playing different sports - showcasing the type of movements we can do with our muscles, bones and joints. P7 really enjoyed trying to draw the different movements and are looking forward to the finished product. Great job, P7.
P7 had great fun thinking of words and phrases, that will encourage others and make them happy. They wanted to spread the positivity of One Kind Word.
Primary Seven enjoyed using colour and creative design to draw and create their dry pastel Firework masterpieces. They did a great job 😀
P7T enjoyed improving their problem solving and team building skills through IZAK 9.
P7T we’re learning about positive mental health focusing on the importance of keeping a growth mindset. Sometimes it is easy to get negative about ourselves, and this can impact our confidence, self belief and self esteem. By changing our words, we can change our mindset. Instead of saying, ‘I can’t do this’ or ‘I won’t do this’, we can use some of these great growth mindset alternatives from P7T.
Well done to all my certificate winners - Bronze and Silver. Well done to all 🙂
