P4S have been learning all about 3D shapes this week, so this morning we ventured out around the school to spot some real life examples. The children found lots. It was quite difficult to find a sphere but see if you can guess what we spotted from the last photo.

There was great excitement today when we went out to plant the conkers and acorns the children have collected on their nature walks. We used plastic bottles and milk cartons as plant pots. This was to encourage the children’s environmental awareness as we were reusing these and so reducing waste.

We hope to have lots of chestnut and oak seedlings in the spring time. It’s amazing to think that these little acorns and conkers will grow into great big trees some day!
