This morning we welcomed our friends from Presentation PS for our first Shared Education day. Our lessons will be based on our WAU topic WW2. After playing some ‘Getting to know you’ games, we discussed and shared what we already know and what we’d like to learn about WW2. Then we did some research to complete a timeline. We finished off with story time and some singing. We all had a great day.
We had a very exciting time on Monday when Alan visited us with his ‘Wee Critters’. We met a hissing a cockroach, a tarantula, a boa constrictor, Trevor the toad amongst others. Alan told us lots of interesting information about his wee critters and the rainforests in which they live. It was a fabulous morning and the children learnt lots about these little animals.
The children looked so well today in their Christmas outfits. The class winner was JJ whose hand crafted Father Christmas outfit, complete with beard and belt was just fabulous. We also had a celebration assembly this morning when Paulina and Archie were awarded special certificates for December.
Really well done to Eli who was awarded the Year 4 Mathletics prize for Term 1. Doesn’t he look delighted!!!

We had a real treat this week when Konnor visited the school to teach us some circus skills. The children enjoyed spinning plates and juggling. We discovered that it was much harder than it looked!!
This week, the children of P4S presented their class assembly on the theme of Creation to their parents and their school friends in P1-4. This was a vert special occasion as it was the first time a special assembly has been held in Hart Memorial since the Covid outbreak. The children’s performance was excellent. They sang beautifully and are to be commended on how well they learnt all their words. They made their teacher and CA very proud. Well done to everyone.
