We had fantastic fun taking part in the Santa Run on Friday 2nd December. Here are some photos of P5DK dressed up and running 🏃♂️
P5DK had an excellent time on Wednesday 30th November, having the P5 class from Presentation PS at Hart Memorial PS all day. The day started with the children getting to know each other with some ice breaker games. Throughout the rest of the day the children got to take part in Christmas performance poetry and Christmas Co-ordinates. They also got the opportunity to play outside together and enjoy lunchtime with each other. The day finished with some fun games and yoga in the hall. Thank you so much Presentation PS and we look forward to seeing you again next week.
Today P5DK listened carefully in assembly to Mrs Davison explaining about Remembrance Day. As part of the assembly we held a 2 minute silence. Back in class the boys and girls used red and black tissue paper to create these lovely pieces of art work.
P5DK had the Dogs Trust in class for a wonderful workshop. They learnt how to stay safe around dogs. Here are some photos to show what they did. Many thanks to Elaine for coming to Hart Memorial and delivering this very informative session.
P5DK had a very special visitor all the way from Ancient Egypt. She taught the children about everyday life and showed them some of the things that would have been used back then. The children had a VERY enjoyable morning.
P5DK had fun building pyramids, searching for artefacts and wrapping their friends up as part of the mummification process.
During Numeracy today, the children worked in groups to solve a variety of problem solving tasks. Firstly, they listened to the problem from Abacus on the interactive whiteboard. Then they had to use the IZAK9 cubes to solve each of the problems. Here are some photos to show what the children did.
